Established in 2016, Cicchetti is the joint venture of executive chef Alexis Spencer and her business partner. The partnership was born when Alexis, who was the head chef at another restaurant, struck up a friendship with the regular patron. She often brought out her latest creations for them to taste, not realizing that her favorite customer would one day become the business partner to make her dream of owning her own restaurant come true. Chef Alex believes that food brings people together and is meant to be shared, which is why Cicchetti features small plates of Italian and American variety, as well as family style entrees during the holiday season.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Alex holds both a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Culinary Arts and a Master of Professional Studies in Food Business. She has more than a decade of experience in the culinary arts in both New York City and Los Angeles. When she is not at the restaurant, she enjoys cooking at home to feed her friends and spoiling her pets—a corgi Chunk and a pomeranian named Fluff.
